KS2 SATs Revision
Welcome to the SATs revision page, here you will find past test papers & links to sites that have useful resources for SATs preparation.
Choose a place to revise where you will not be distracted.
Drink plenty of water. Water stops your brain dehydrating and will help you concentrate for longer.
Get plenty of sleep. If you are tired, you will never perform to the best of your ability.
Take a short break every 20 minutes.
If you get stuck on something, come back to it later or ask a teacher / parent to help.
Reward yourself for working hard. It might be playing out or watching a favourite TV programme.
Study in short sessions, but often. Dont spend hours working away.
Tips for Parents and Carers
Encourage your child to explain his/her thinking
If your child continues to struggle after being given help, tell them to speak to their teacher who will be happy to provide further help
Teach your child good studying habits e.g. working in a quiet place, asking when stuck, taking a break etc Reward / Praise your child for persisting with the homework
Talk through questions with your child. If the child is confident, you could make the question into a word problem.
